Friday Weddings vs. Saturday Weddings, The Pro’s and Con’s

Both choices are good, it’s just what works best for you, your immediate family and your budget.  These are some of the questions you will need to consider when making your decision.

Friday’s are definitely less expensive, often by $10 per person.  If you are not leaving right after the wedding for you honeymoon, a Friday wedding will give you extra time to spend with your out-of-town guest.

Things to consider are that your guest will be coming from work and dealing with traffic.  This may cause you to have less people attending the ceremony.  Having worked all day your guest will be tired sooner into the evening causing some of them to leave earlier than if it were a Saturday wedding.

Saturday afternoon is still less expensive than Saturday night and works better for your out-of-town guest, but if you are looking for the night time ambiance, you will be missing out.  You could book your wedding in a winter month, which will allow you one or two hours of dusk/darkness.
Saturday night weddings generally work best for your guest; they are well rested and ready to party and really have no excuse for not attending the ceremony.  Saturday night weddings generally book up the quickest and are definitely the most expense, $10 to $30 more per person.

In addition to Friday or Saturday, another option to check into may be holidays that involve a three day weekend.  Sunday’s can be as inexpensive as a Friday but would have the feeling of a Saturday wedding if your guest have no work on the following Monday.

Bottom line is you need to do what is best for the both of you.  Friday, Saturday, day or night it all comes down to you're  getting married.  Enjoy your big day!!

P.S. Prince William and Kate were married on a Friday.
