When a Wedding Planner Hires a Wedding Planner

To get some idea of how important it is to have help on your wedding day, let me tell you about a dear friend of mine, Nicole Nassief, owner of Nicole Larson Events.  Nicole is an amazing wedding planner and was hired by a good friend to plan and coordinate her wedding.  When the bride realized how busy Nicole would be on the day of her wedding she asked if there was any way that she could just be a guest?  "Absolutely," she said, "I’ll hire a wedding coordinator.” And that is what she did.

I met with Nicole and the bride & groom 2 months prior to the event. Nicole and I talked via emails and phone calls.  We then met once again, a week before the wedding, to go over the final details of the event that Nicole had planned.  Nicole had prepared and amazing timeline for us to follow and post-its on anything that may have been a question.  After checking with us a couple of times prior to the ceremony Nicole finally said “I will stop asking you questions and go have fun” not an easy thing for a wedding planner to do.  The set-up went smoothly, the ceremony was on time and amazing, the reception was delicious and exciting and Nicole had fun.

Moral of the story, let your family and friends be guest at your wedding.  Hire a Wedding Planner and have a fun day.

The icing on the cake, pun intended, is Nicole hired me to be her Wedding Planner for her big day, she just wants to have fun!!!

Don’t Forget the Groom. He Needs a Little Help Too.

The modern day groom plays a much bigger role in today's weddings.  He is involved in choices, that before were decided primarily by the bride.  He is being given options to consider and questions that need to be answered: What if I don't want my best friend or my brother as my best man?  What exactly are my duties?  Suite or tuxedo?  Do I have to give a speech?  Is this something I am required to pay for?

This is just the tip of the iceberg of the many thoughts that may be going through your fiance's head.  Here are a few sites you may want to direct him to that may be able to help him get those answers and give him guidance.
